The Hound of the Baskervilles and The Valley of Fear
by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle
This Collector's Library edition contains two of Conan Doyle's most iconic novels, complete and unabridged. The Hound of the Baskervilles is perhaps the best known Sherlock Holmes story, and as noted by the publisher, is THE classic detective chiller. In the second story, The Valley of Fear, Holmes deals with a horrible murder, a puzzling cipher message and comes face to face with his arch enemy, Moriarty in the aforementioned valley. Neither is to be missed!
First published in 1902 (The Hound of the Baskervilles) and 1915 (The Valley of Fear) this Collector's Library edition was published in 2004. It is in mint condition, both inside and out with no creases, tears, marks or other signs of wear. It is a clothbound hardback book, complete with dustjacket, ribbon bookmark, beautifully gilded edges and an interesting and informative Afterword by David Stuart Davies, an authority on Conan Doyle's work. In particular, he has written extensively about Sherlock Holmes and his world.
Please note that this is a compact book, designed to be held and read with one hand (if that is what you would like to do). It measures 10 cm x 15.5 cm x 2.5 cm and weighs 231g.
